The clinic was started in 1995 when Dr. Sham Sunder Gupta returned from LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad after completing his fellowship training in comprehensive ophthalmology and Glaucoma. The ideologies of Dr. G N Rao founder director of the famous LV Prasad Eye Institute and aspiration of a young enthusiastic surgeon put together worked wonders for this clinic over last 14 years. Dr. Raj Anand joined the clinic in 2003 and extra facility of ocular prosthetic services and Oculoplasty was started at the clinic. Dr. Tyag Murti Sharma joined the team at Chinmaya in 2009 as CEO. A post graduate from AIIMS Dr. Sharma is well known for his expertise in Phaco and Refractive surgeries(LASIK).
At Present the clinic is providing excellent facility in eye care from comprehensive ophthalmology check up to Superspeciality eye care services.
